
Las Vegas authorities are working on new partnerships to improve air connectivity and attract more tourists, particularly those from Monterrey. Yessica Castillo, Public Relations representative of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, highlighted the importance of the presence of residents from Monterrey in the U.S. city and the growing interest they have shown in visiting it.
In an effort to modernize and enhance accessibility, Las Vegas is implementing underground access routes that will connect the entire city. One of the ongoing projects is the construction of underground tunnels that will allow for more efficient transportation. For example, the Resorts World Station will serve as a direct access point to the Convention Center, facilitating visitor mobility.
Regarding hotel offerings, new establishments have recently opened, such as the W Las Vegas in the Mandalay Bay complex, with 43 floors, 1,117 rooms, and the Fontainebleau Las Vegas, with 67 floors, 3,644 rooms, convention spaces, a casino, and a spa, located next to the Convention Center. It is important to note that not all hotels in Las Vegas have a casino and some offer balconies for their guests.
Future projections for Las Vegas include the opening of Hard Rock in 2027, a hotel and casino featuring a 700-foot tall iconic guitar-shaped tower and around 600 luxury rooms. In 2028, the inauguration of Athletics is expected, a complex with 33,000 seats, a giant screen, a baseball field, and a panoramic view of the Strip. Additionally, the world’s largest spherical structure is being built with cutting-edge technology for events, which will have 17,500 seats and LED lighting that will make it visible day and night from any point in the city.
Las Vegas received 40 million visitors in 2024, both domestic and international, and offers a total of 151,000 rooms with an average stay of 4 nights. Investments in hotel and entertainment infrastructure continue to progress, aiming to attract a diverse audience and meet the demands of visitors seeking unique experiences in this vibrant city.
